Cash – The King Of All Gifts
Is cold hard cash the king of all gifts? Well, in most cases…it is. And cash certainly rings a lot of registers which makes a lot of merchants and businesses thrive and display their ear to ear grins comes graduation season.
As some surveys show, cash is really the king when it comes to college graduation gifts. It is noteworthy that a big number of people are spending money for gifts whether for graduation or any other occasion. When combined together, the total amount of this spending can reach a whooping billions worth of the green bill! And to top it all, a big percentage of college gifts come in the form of cold hard cash to the delight of most graduates.
Due to the difficulties and the mumbo jumbos encountered when trying to look for gifts, many givers would just resort to giving cash to the graduates. Many givers would be thinking, “Hey, everyone likes cash”. That is unquestionably true in lots of cases.
Certainly, one can never go wrong with cash gifts. Wherever you are in the country, cash will always be useful and when given as gifts, they can give the recipients the autonomy of choosing what they want to buy in accordance to their needs, wishes, or whims and caprices.
Categorically speaking, cash is the most versatile gift because the recipients can do anything they like with it. They can spend it to buy that much coveted apparel, ipod, or necklace, or they could just put the money into a savings account in order to earn interest and beef up one’s financial reserves just in case the rainy days come pouring down heavy.
It is now a common fact that a big majority of the students prefer cold hard cash to be their gifts for college graduation . This is so because as said earlier, it gives them the freedom to get what they long or wish for and increase the chances of not being caught with some gifts which they already have or dislike thereby making them just pretend to appreciate such in order not to offend the gift-givers. Gheez, it cannot be denied that many people are just so lousy in choosing gifts. Even if the gifts chosen are signature apparels such as Gucci, DKNY, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Lacoste, or other branded clothes you can think of, there is that big chance that the sizes of those would not be the right fit to the recipients. What a waste, eh? To avoid this ugly situation, many have opted to give cash for college graduation just to be on the safe side.
But despite the prominence of cash gifts, it cannot be denied that there are still some that would say that cash can be the greatest but they can be somewhat impersonal considering that it can be portrayed as the lazy man’s way of giving a gift. Many disagree to this. To many gift-givers, giving cash for college graduation shows the normally picky graduates that the givers want them to get something that they would surely cherish, appreciate and use for long.
To rectify this rather impersonal charisma as some would like to view it, a lot of people are now adding a bit of personalization to the giving of cash gifts by putting the money into the now popular Chinese red envelopes or into specially made envelopes instead of the plain old typical white envelopes. Indeed, adding a bit of personalized touch to the cash gifts would surely amplify the essence of the gift giving a thousand fold.
To sum it up, when you truly want to impart a gift that will surely be appreciated even though you don’t know the graduates that well or what they like or don’t like or what they already have or don’t have, give them the king of all gifts – cold hard cash. There is a big chance that one cannot go wrong with it.
